Community Information  The Village of Briarcliff Manor is located 12 miles north of White Plains and 34 miles north of mid-town Manhattan. Briarcliff Manor is situated within the town of Ossining and the town of Mount Pleasant.
Briarcliff Manor is easily accessible by car and bus via Route 9, Route 9A, Route 100, the Saw Mill River Parkway, and the Taconic State Parkway. In addition a short 45 minute ride from the nearby Metro North train station at Scarborough Manor will bring you directly to Grand Central Station in downtown Manhattan.
It is primarily a residential community with a charming, tree lined central business district featuring small specialty shops, services and restaurants. Parts of the village are nestled on hilltops providing panoramic views of the historic and scenic Hudson River. It offers easy access to suburban conveniences in a peaceful pastoral setting and is one of the most popular destinations for home buyers in Westchester County. The village operates over 172 acres of parkland and has a year-round recreation program for children and adults alike. Summer day camp is offered at the town park which is comprised of a large swimming pool, snack bar, ten tennis courts, 2 paddle tennis courts and a library. There are also two private golf courses: Sleepy Hollow and Trump National.
Briarcliff Manor's outstanding school system is comprised of Todd Elementary School, Briarcliff Middle School and Briarcliff High School. There is also a campus of Pace University, located on Elm Road. |
